FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH

interaction of laser radiation with polymers in vacuum;
properties of low-temperature plasma within the complex organic compounds;
fabrication and properties of thin polymer films obtained in gaseous phase, properties of fibrous-porous polytetrafluoroethylene.

APPLIED RESEARCH

investigation of properties of fluoroplastic filtering materials and thin polymer coatings, search for new fields of application of the materials and coatings.

Filtering materials based on Fluoroplast-4:

Filtering fibrous-porous materials GRIFTEX
Filters GRIF for cleaning compressed air and process gases from aerosol (water, oil) and dispersed particles;
Filters GRIF for catching aerosols from air and separation of oil aerosols in gaseous suspensions, e.g. exhaust gases of mechanical vacuum pumps with oil sealing;
Filtering elements based on GRIFTEX material for cleaning trabsformer oils from mechanical admixtures and water;
Antifrictional composite material FLUVIS based on fluoroplast-4 and modified carbon fibers produced in Belarus;
Diamond-washing plants "GRIF-BRILLIANT and GRIF-ALMAZ

Technologies

encapsulation of critical electronic units and joints; strengthening and preservation of valuable historical documents and materials for medical purposes;
modification process of carbon fibers and its use in manufacture of carbon-filled composites based on fluoroplast-4 of trademark FLUVIS (was adopted at PA Khimvolokno, Grodno, Belarus, and Metal-working plant in Svetlogorsk). The material is intended for critical friction joints, e.g. seals of compressors and pump systems.
